TISS presents the 1st National Conference on Information Assurance

With the commitment and focus of developing Pakistan at par with developed countries in the area of information security and assurance TISS collaborated with Military College Signals to present the National Conference on Information Assurance 2010 held on 10th and 11th August. The theme behind this this unique event was to create awareness and exposure among executives, professionals and users of information technology from academia, industry, military, government and corporate sector about information security and assurance. The chief guest Dr.Atta-ur-Rehman, former Chairman HEC, and other renowned speakers from academia and industry through their presentations and tutorials elaborated the recent developments and studies in the area of information security and its application to ensure secure IT infrastructure in public, private and strategic organizations. In the keynote speech Mr. Mohsin Sheikh Managing Director TISS explained the global scenario of information security by beautifully aligning the famous saying of the Quaid i.e. Unity, Faith and Discipline with Information assurance highlighting it as a national concern.
