BS 25999:2007 Compliant Gap Analysis

Business Continuity Management (BCM) is a process that provides a framework to ensure resilience of the business to any eventuality and to ensure continuity of its services, safeguarding of assets, minimizing financial and operational impact and protection of the brand and organizational reputation.

BS 25999-2:2007 is the standard for Business Continuity Management (BCM), which is designed to help prevent a small incident from becoming a major business issue. BS 25999 Gap Analysis can help an organization understand to what extents it should adhere to BS 25999 as well as help identify those areas where there is variance from the standard procedures.

Through a structured interview process or combined workshops the BS 25999 compliant Gap Analysis can examine the already implemented BCM policies and practices and allows the senior management to understand:

  • whether the current policies and practices meet BS 25999
  • whether the polices & practices vary from BS 25999
  • whether there is a need to focus the efforts to meet the requirements of BS 25999

Such an activity will lead to the identification of the key issues and activities that can form the basis of the implementation strategy, and begin to build the business case for adopting BS 25999.
